On March 18, 2014, construction began on a brand-new Ronald McDonald House® just steps from Cadence Health’s Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) campus. Over the next two years, Cadence Health Foundation will raise $6 million to bring this to our community.
You can help us achieve this goal. By joining your friends, neighbors and others who believe in quality healthcare in the western suburbs, you'll not only help build a valuable care asset here in our community, you'll help ensure that distance is no barrier to life-saving care for a child.
A special thanks to the Cadence Health Auxiliary and the Topfer Family Foundation for their lead gifts to the campaign!

Cadence Health is committed to providing nationally recognized healthcare to the communities we serve. In keeping with this mission, we've entered into a relationship with Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC®-CNI) to build the first Ronald McDonald House in Chicago’s western suburbs. Scheduled to open in 2015, Ronald McDonald House near Cadence Health – CDH Campus will be located across the street from Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. The new facility will be one of only five in the Chicagoland area and the first in the region with a connection to a non-academic medical center.
This Ronald McDonald House will provide a home away from home for families of children with complex medical needs, allowing them to eat, sleep and find the emotional support they need just steps from their child in the hospital. The House will feature eight private family suites and four private family bedrooms, along with a communal living room, kitchen, dining room, recreational spaces, as well as laundry facilities.
The family suites in the House will feature both a private sleeping room and living areas, designed to accommodate families as well as pediatric patients undergoing extensive outpatient treatment. Ronald McDonald House near Cadence Health – CDH Campus will offer a comfortable and supportive environment to parents of children being treated at CDH, Delnor Hospital and the CDH Cancer Center and the CDH Proton Center in Warrenville.
Your donation can make a world of difference to families for many years to come, providing stability, security and a place to stay in times of great need.
