Advanced Facilities and Personalized Support

The Cadence Health commitment to cancer care is exemplified by two existing state-of-the-art facilities – the CDH Cancer Center and the CDH Proton Center, A ProCure Center** – in addition to a new cancer center at Delnor scheduled to break ground in 2012.

The CDH Cancer Center provides all of the treatment and support services you need in a single, convenient outpatient center. Opened in 2010, the CDH Cancer Center offers compassionate care from diagnosis to treatment, including access to the full spectrum of radiation therapy options, all in a healing environment. Take a virtual tour of the CDH Cancer Center.

Close by, you’ll find the CDH Proton Center, A ProCure Center,** the first and only facility of its kind in Illinois. Proton therapy uses protons instead of traditional photons to precisely target tumors, resulting in less damage to surrounding healthy tissue. This treatment has been particularly successful in treating pediatric patients as well as patients with tumors near critical organs such as the brain and spinal cord.

Cadence Health also brings cancer patients and their families comprehensive support services through the LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, offering more than 55 free-of-charge psychosocial programs and services. LivingWell has helped thousands of individuals affected by cancer learn vitally important skills that enable them to regain their sense of control, reduce the amount of isolation that often comes with a cancer diagnosis and enhance their quality of life. In May 2012, LivingWell opened a new 15,500 square foot facility in Geneva which will allow for expanded services.

As we extend our system’s cancer care network, work will soon begin on a 35,000-square-foot cancer center on our Delnor campus.
