AT-A-GLANCE
At Cadence Health, our patients depend on us not only for quality diagnoses and treatment today, but also for services that evolve over time with the latest thinking in medical care. Part of that quality effort involves participation in clinical trials – controlled research studies created to answer medical questions about new therapies or new ways of using existing treatments. Clinical trials, and the patients who participate in them, help shape the future of medicine.
Although our hospitals are not teaching facilities, our commitment to advancing care and our prominent affiliations with Children’s Memorial Hospital* and Cleveland Clinic’s provide access to a great number of clinical trials. Clinical trials are currently available to patients through physicians on the medical staffs at CDH and Delnor in areas ranging from cardiology to neurosciences, oncology to pediatrics.
For patients, taking part in a clinical trial may provide access to alternative treatment options not widely available at the moment. At the same time, clinical trials expand the base of medical knowledge, laying the groundwork for future treatments and techniques that will provide hope and healing to patients in the future.
